A Morning of Warmth

Good morning. When I woke up, a delicious smell was already drifting in from the kitchen. My host was preparing fried eggs for breakfast.
For a body still heavy with sleep, a warm meal brings more strength than words can describe. It is a reminder that I donāt start the day alone.
Even more, they had prepared a light lunch for me to take on the road. By the time I set off, my backpack was filled not just with food, but with kindness.
In the house there was another dog as well, calmer in nature compared to the huge Saint Bernard I had met before. The contrast between them was endearing. Even after leaving, the memory of those days already feels nostalgic.
The Ferry Across the Water

Today, I turned my pedals once again. The destination: Melbourne.
On the way, a message arrived from someone I had connected with on social media: āTake the ferry. Iāll cover the fare.ā
Gratitude mixed with a trace of unease as I rolled my bicycle onto the boat. The thought crossed my mind: What if it falls? What if it slips into the sea?
But the fears eased as the wind brushed my face and the waves rocked the vessel gently. At that moment, the boy sitting in front of me offered me a cookie.
A small hand, a small smileāand yet, that simple gesture carried so much warmth.
A Hotel Room Waiting

When I disembarked, someone was already waiting to support me. They had even arranged my accommodation for the night. To my surprise, it was a hotel.
During my journey, I rarely stay in hotelsāalmost never. And certainly not places this clean and comfortable.
Lying under trees, sleeping in my bag by the roadsideāthose memories made the hotel bed feel even more extraordinary. I repeated to myself: āThis too is part of the journey.ā
Entering Melbourne
At last, I reached the edges of Melbourne. Not yet in the center, but already the air of the city surrounded me. And yet, nature still lingered close by. I felt a quiet certainty: I could live here.
Tonight, I sleep on a soft bed, wrapped in warm sheets. I know this day will become a source of encouragement for the road ahead. With that thought, I closed my eyes, under the gentle light of the hotel room.
