One Week Until Departure: A Mini Trip with Julie
That morning, I realized there was only one week left until I leave Australia. So Julie decided to take me to various places nearby during this last week. We went to a place called Slingtown in the neighboring town of Hamilton—a spot with a café and restaurant combined.
Discovering Zucchini Spaghetti
What came out was zucchini spaghetti. It was seriously delicious.

The base was all vegetables, made entirely from veggies, and it was really good.
Getting a Box from Giant: The End of the Cycling Journey
From there, we went to a bike shop called Giant. I got a big cardboard box to pack my bike in. With this, I can finally bring my bicycle back to Japan.

The journey by bike is pretty much ending here. This is really where I say goodbye to traveling with this bike. I mean, I'm still bringing it back with me though.
Disassembling the Bike
Back at the house, I worked on putting the bike and all the gear into the box.

I had to remove each part one by one, and it took quite a while, but I managed to get it done.
Trouble Removing the Pedals
But when I was removing the pedals, the tool broke and I couldn't get them off. I'll probably ask someone nearby tomorrow to borrow a wrench.

Australians are really kind—or maybe it's better to say they're easy to communicate with. When you ask, "Hey, can I borrow this?" they'll lend it to you right away, or even help you out. That kind of thoughtfulness is really nice.
One Week Left, and On to the Next Journey
Anyway, there's one week left until I head back to Japan. Even when I get back, I've already got my next trip planned, so I need to prepare for that. I'm going to enjoy this last stretch.
