The Morning of Departure
This was the day I finally headed to Adelaide. I woke up at my hotel in Sydney, but it was so hot and stuffy that I barely slept at all.

I took a train to the airport and arrived. Then I realized—I lost my phone.

It was my spare phone, so it wasn't critically important. No major trouble would come from losing it, so I decided to just keep going. After traveling such a long distance, this was the first time I'd lost something valuable. But these things happen.
Arriving in Adelaide
I arrived in Adelaide, excited to see Wayne and Kim again—the people who helped me so much when I was here before.

Kim was there as soon as I arrived. The moment we met, it really hit me how long it had been. When you're apart even for a little while, you can feel that gap from the time you couldn't see each other.
After that, Wayne, her dad, came to pick me up by car. We exchanged greetings, and just that alone made the trip to Adelaide worth it. Seeing their smiles made me really happy.
Warm Hospitality: Care Like a Luxury Hotel
When I got to the house and entered my room, everything was already prepared.

Food and snacks were set up in my room—it felt like the service at a high-end hotel. You could tell they put a lot of thought into it, and that really made me happy.
Dinner and Watching Cricket: The Rules Are Hard
Dinner that night was amazing—they served me meat dishes and more. It was seriously delicious.
We watched a cricket match while eating.

Cricket is actually pretty fun. It's interesting how so many points get scored. But since it was my first time watching, learning the rules was tough. I probably only understood about 20–30%.
Impressed by the Lego Room
Lastly, there was a Lego set that my dad had given them as a gift before, and it was now completed.

The Great Wave by Hokusai and a flower set. Now they're working on something from Germany. One whole room is filled with Lego. It made me want to create my own playground like that someday.
