The Best Sleep on an Airport Floor

May 18th. When I finally checked the time, it was already 9:30 AM. For someone who usually wakes up around 5:30 or 6:30 AM, it had been a long time since I slept in this late. I had actually spent the night at Incheon Airport, catching some sleep on the floor up on the 4th level. Surprisingly, despite the hard surface, it was incredibly comfortable, and I managed to get an amazing night of rest.
After breezing through check-in, I had about two hours to kill before my flight. I spent the time taking in a stunning, beautiful sunset reflecting off the airport windows, which felt wonderfully serene. Before long, I boarded the plane and touched down at Narita Airport, feeling like I was still floating in a dream.
A Walk Down Memory Lane in Kashiwa

Once back in Japan, I headed straight to Kashiwa Station. This was an important day, as it was the last time I would be seeing my dad during my current stay. Kashiwa holds a special place in my heart; it's the town where I used to study, hit up the game centers,

and grab lunch back in my college days. Walking around the area, it was a joy to stumble upon familiar sights, and there was a unique comfort in bumping into my own nostalgic memories. After catching up and having a nice dinner treated by my dad, I made my way back to my family's home.
The Final One-Week Countdown

Now, I'm back at my grandmother's house in Gunma, and the countdown is officially on. I have exactly one week left until May 26, 2026, when I'll finally leave Gunma and head to Narita Airport for my next massive adventure. Until then, I'm just going to take it easy, soak up the familiar comforts of home, and quietly prepare for the big journey ahead.
