Morning Calm by the Sea

My second morning camping by the coast in Ceduna began, as always, with coffee.
I held a steaming mug in front of my tent, gazing at the quiet sea. It didn’t feel like luxury—it felt like peace.
“Why don’t you stay one more night?”
The father’s gentle suggestion made me nod without hesitation. This couple has helped me countless times already. Gratitude alone isn’t enough to describe it. They’ve given me warmth, trust, and so many invisible gifts that cannot be measured.
An Afternoon by the Water
The morning passed quietly, and in the afternoon, we decided to go fishing together.
Standing on the breakwater, we cast our lines into the sea.
I can’t recall exactly what we caught, but I remember clearly what came after: walking slowly beside the father, watching his back as he moved along the shore.
The sea breeze brushed against us, and in that moment, something tightened in my chest.
I think I knew, deep down, that this might be our farewell—at least for a while.
A Farewell Wrapped in Kindness

Of course, we parted with a smile, saying, “See you again.” But inside, I understood the weight of this moment.
The time we spent by the sea. The help they gave me. The way they repaired my bike. These two days, wrapped in kindness, have become treasures I want to keep safely in my pocket for the rest of this journey.
Someday, somewhere in Australia, I truly hope our paths will cross again.
