Morning with Garden Fruits

On March 18, in Denmark, I woke up to find that my host had already prepared breakfast. A bowl of yogurt was topped with a generous amount of fresh fruit, all harvested from their own garden. The taste and fragrance were gentle and natural, unlike anything bought at a store.
After breakfast, I had a little time, so my host gave me a tour of the garden.
A Garden Full of Life
The garden stretched wide, filled with fruits, vegetables, and flowers. There must have been nearly a hundred different types of plants. Standing there, surrounded by so much life, I felt my breathing naturally deepen. The air itself seemed fresher, filled with the scent of soil and leaves.
Back inside, I happened to look at the soles of my shoes. They were completely worn down. I might not be able to use them much longer, but I couldn’t bring myself to throw them away. They carry the memories of this journey, and I know I’ll probably keep them with me even when I stop wearing them.
Personal Reflections
Lately, my hair has grown much longer. I took a photo of my profile and thought, “Just a little more.” My goal is to grow it down to my waist. Traveling while growing my hair feels amusing, almost like I’m carrying another kind of journey within the larger one.
A Walk Around Town
In the afternoon, I wandered through the nearby streets. I revisited a small door I had noticed at the base of a tree the day before. It looked as if tiny people might live inside. I had never seen anything like it in Japan. Little discoveries like this remind me why travel is so inspiring—they open new ways of seeing the world and spark fresh ideas.
Dinner with Homegrown Ingredients

By evening, I returned home to find my host cooking again, using ingredients from the garden. The meal was both healthy and full of flavor.
Life in Denmark feels calm, almost timeless. The days flow slowly, yet each moment leaves a memory that lingers in the heart.
