Writing on the road, editing in hostels, translating in cafés — my web shop Hiro the World is finally open, and this is where all of that comes together.
I've been traveling the world and turning those experiences into words. Books, travel essays, digital ZINEs. This shop is the home for all of it.
The Book — The Fate of Knot

Available in both Japanese and English.
I used to believe that running away was something to be ashamed of. Then I lost my job, was betrayed by someone I trusted, and spent nights sleeping on park benches — and I ran anyway. With nothing but a bicycle, I pedaled out into the world.
Theft in Germany. A hundred kilometers on foot. Strangers who became lifelines in the places I least expected.
What I found, at the far end of all that traveling, was this: running away is not defeat. Beyond the place you run to, there are still people. There are still landscapes. There is still life worth living.
If you've ever felt cornered — if you've ever wondered whether running makes you weak — this book is for you.

The ZINEs — Memories of the Road

Each ZINE is a short digital travel essay from one country or region I've passed through — honest, personal, and written close to the ground.
Not a guidebook. Not a highlight reel. Just what it actually feels like to be somewhere.
Countries covered so far: Vietnam & Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia & Singapore, Indonesia, and Australia (four separate issues).
Each ZINE is $1 USD and available in up to five languages — Japanese, English, Indonesian, Spanish, and Filipino (Tagalog) — so wherever you're reading from, there's likely a version for you.
Life is a journey. I hope something here travels with you.
